Our Precious ROLEX

Hello everyone,

For the past year, we have had a dog at the orphanage that we found on the street. He is a male, and the children named him “Rolex” because they thought he was something very precious and valuable.

I had been thinking about adopting another dog so that Rolex would have a friend. The idea never really moved forward, but my children got ahead of me and found him a “girlfriend” instead. They basically arranged a marriage for our dog—after all, we are in India! 😂

It is incredible that arranged marriages still exist in the 21st century. One day, I explained to my father that in India, it is often the family who chooses a husband for their daughter. He looked at me carefully and said, “Daughter, that sounds wonderful. That’s exactly what I would like to do.”

Surprised, I asked him, “And who would you choose for me?”

My father replied, “Peter.”

“But Dad,” I said, “Peter is so shy, he wouldn’t even dare to kiss me!”

And my father answered, “That’s exactly why, my daughter, exactly why!”
