Master Swami
Hello everyone,
I’m writing to you from Valencia. Very soon I’ll be traveling to Germany because my parents are getting older and need me more and more. I completely understand that—when you reach the age of 90, you become aware that time is precious, and naturally you want to spend it close to your children and grandchildren.
At the beginning of August, I’ll be back in Spain, and I’m truly looking forward to visiting the beautiful Campus PHI in Extremadura. It is a place surrounded by nature where I find a deep sense of peace—one of those special places that inspires me profoundly. My teacher, H.E. Pujya Swami Rameshwarananda Giri Maharaj, lives there. He is someone I love, admire, and deeply respect.
Campus PHI is a project of the PHI Foundation, located in the Sierra de Gata. It combines accommodation, well-being, and the opportunity to disconnect in a beautiful natural setting. The campus is based on the principles of sustainability, permaculture, and energy self-sufficiency. It is also home to the Vedanta Centre, a place dedicated to meditation and inner growth, where daily meditation sessions and satsangs with the Master are held. In addition to its hotel and vegetarian restaurant, Campus PHI also hosts activities of the University of Consciousness. It is a wonderful place to leave everyday life behind and reconnect with your true self—or simply enjoy nature and the silence. And, as an added bonus, the food is absolutely delicious!

We are very fortunate because Swamiji has already travelled to India several times to visit us together with some of his beloved disciples. He has known the children since they were very young, and I always enjoy watching him speak with each of them individually. The children share their worries with him and ask many questions about life. I am always impressed by the patience, kindness, and genuine attention he gives to every one of them.
I’d like to share a little story about Swamiji.
One of my sons had a habit, ever since he was little, of taking money from me whenever he had the chance. No matter how upset I became or how often I explained that it was wrong and that it made me very sad, nothing seemed to change.
Then one day, while sitting in front of the Master, he openly admitted:
“I am a thief. I have everything I need, but I don’t know what’s wrong with me. Whenever I see money, I simply can’t resist putting it into my pocket.”
Swamiji gently explained to him how he could transform this behaviour.
I also wanted to tell you that a Spanish friend of mine, Esteban, is currently spending a lot of time in India learning meditation. Whenever he has some free time, he visits the children. This means a great deal to us, because I cannot be there throughout the year. We are truly grateful for his visits.
I wish you all a wonderful start to the summer.
Namaste,
Christiane
