OUR PROPERTY
Hello to everybody,
I hope you all are doing well!
As I have already mentioned, we have bought a piece of Land in Khajuraho (in the district of Madhya Pradesh) where “Nane Home” is located. The property is 5km from the city center and 10km from the airport. It’s situated in a beautiful area with lots of surrounding nature it is very tranquil and quiet. Also I have mentioned in my newsletter in July, we have started to build a fence and finally we have finished thanks to the work of 25 people who were involved in it. We also have planted the first trees. Now we have to wait until it is allowed to travel again to India in order to have our architect Victor join me so we can start with the construction of the houses. Our idea is to have three orphanage houses: to have the children of “Nane-Home” move to one house and the other houses to shelter 40 orphanaged babies. We would take them in little by little depending on the help we will receive in order to care for them. Also we would like to build rooms for the volunteers. Some already reached out to me in order to offer their help with the little ones. We are very thankful for the offers because we will have lots of work.
Our children are very excited about the new project and some of our students tell me that they would love to work for the NGO once they have finished their studies. They would like to give some of the received support from Childsrights back, better saying the support they received from their godparents during the last years. Once more I would like to take the opportunity to say thank you to all of you that have been supporting us!!
I´m very happy to have some of the young ones close, for sure they are great collaborators, impossible to have better supporters nobody knows the work of Childsrights better than them since they were raised by us and very conscience of the very complicated situation many children are in.
With that being said, once there is more progress achieved I will let you know.
See you soon!
Christiane
