The little worker
Hello everybody,
Hopefully you are all doing very well.
I’m still in Valencia and was thinking about what to share with you this month about India, when I remembered a picture I took during my last stay:
I was taking a walk and saw this child working, despite being so small he was already working on a construction site of a house carrying a bucket with cement. I told him that instead of working he should go to school and he replied that he would like to, but he doesn’t have the time because his family is depending on him making money.
Not being sure what to say, I continued on my way, but I couldn’t stop thinking about him. On my next trip I will see if he is still there working and if so, I will try to convince his family that it is better for him to go to school. I have already convinced several parents that their children should study.
Our children continue with their exams, they are doing well thanks to the private teacher we have at home every afternoon.
Aww, and our Ajay has broken his leg, I didn’t quite understand what happened, it seems that he fell from a tree, I was told that lately he has become a little naughty and Shivam too, they are both 13 years old and at this age we will have to see how to handle them and their mischief.
I send you many greetings, Namaste,
Christiane
