School holidays in India

The girl in the photo is Preety, she is 6 years old. As you can see she is very happy in her school uniform and with her schoolbagl!.

The children are already very excited to go back the school. On the 1st of July, summer holidays are over in India (in India summer vacation is always from May 15th until July 1st ) . And like every year, they will need new uniforms and books.

During the school holidays the children received drawing lessons and dance classes, they also go on some day trips. The older children have partially received extra lessons so that they are prepared for the next classes.

Currently the temperature is of unimaginable 50 degrees celsius in India and the monsoon rains haven´t sstarted yet.

I am now in Valencia and have a lot of work to do! I miss the kids a lot and the change of the East and the West I find every time harder to cope with …. Fortunately, in September we will be united again with new ideas and projects.
