LUCKY
Dear Childsrights followers,
I hope you are all healthy with lots of energy, physical strength and a clear mind. The girl in the picture is missing all of those things.
She lives in a slum zone of Gujarat. Nobody really knows what happened to her but it is clear that she is not healthy and will probably never be able to go to school, unless it´s a special school.
She is a very friendly, sweet and calm girl with lots of inner peace. When she smiles from ear to ear, you have to give her a big smile back.
Soon I will have to decide to send the girl to a school for disabled children. Yes, I could do it and her parents would be very happy about it but what is holding me back is the thought of taking her out of her environment.
Even though this place can be like a nightmare the people there are very peaceful, a very rare fact. Normally those places are full of aggression. Well this one is not one of those places. Her parents and the people are taking care of her as good as they can and you can tell they love her a lot and this makes this decision so difficult: What is better for the little girl? Leaving her with her people or sending her to an internal school where she would receive a special education?
To me it is very clear that an education is very important, but receiving the love of your parents and the people around you is also very important.
I´m thinking about the children of Childsrights and I´m so thankful that they are all healthy (dexcept for one child), it´s not easy to attend children with mental disorders. This requires much broader capacities and better knowledge in order to attend them accordingly.
Ah, before I forget. Thegirls name is LUCKY! This name can´t be a coincidence.
I think her future will be full of Luck
Saludos Nane
