CHILDSRIGHTS

In December, the PHI Foundation made a donation to ChildsRights to support the project as it has been doing for years.

ChildsRights began its journey in 2007 and since then it has not stopped growing. In the early days they took care of 12 girls who slowly but surely became 59 children who see all the members of the NGO as their family. The idea is to continue supporting them until they become autonomous.

Currently, Childsrights is developing a new project: “Digambara Ashram”, located on a 16,000 square meter plot of land, on the outskirts of Khajuraho, in the middle of nature, surrounded by mountains and immersed in a very peaceful environment. It is a huge project, for which the NGO continues to raise funds.

Once it´s finished, the children of Nane-Home (Khajuraho) will go to live at the Ashram because they are the youngest children at Childsrights and the ones who need the most attention. The children from Jaipur who now live with I-India, however, will continue in Jaipur so that their studies will not be interrupted, although they will maintain a close relationship with Digambara Ashram especially during non-school periods. On the other hand, this project will be, at the same time, a Cradle House and will give shelter to 40 orphaned children between the ages of 0 and 4 years old. Many babies are orphaned in hospitals or abandoned on the streets and need to be cared for.

Digambara Ashram continues to move forward and PHI Foundation continues to collaborate with Childsrights, not only financially, as it did last April, when the president of the foundation, Pujya Swami Rameshwarananda Giri Maharaj accompanied by Swamini Dayananda Giri, member of the board of PHI Foundation and two members of the executive committee, visited Nane-Home in Khajuraho. Swamiji, personally met with each of the young people, to guide them on their journey, as they are at ages where they need guidance. Similarly, in 2013, he visited the NGO’s home in Jaipur.”
