Visit from good friends
Hello everybody!
Here in India everything is still very good! Finally the weather got better, so I´m able to take the kids to the swimming pool.
A German friend of mine gave us a couple of floaters so they stay above water. You can see in the the pictures of Mahek and Shivam how much they are enjoying their swim!
In school the children are continuing to do great and thanks to god they are healthy. Every once in a while they have a general check by a doctor.
At the moment we have a special visit from our Valencian friend Oreste. You may remember the boy, he has no siblings but as found true brothers and sisters in our Childsrights kids. Oreste his parents and all of us are very pleased, it´s simply a pleasure to see them together again. This month Oreste celebrated his 10th birthday, so we organized a surprise party for him. It was very nice and the chocolate cake was delicious!
Also we are happy to enjoy a visit of our lovely friend Miriam from Valencia. Miriam came to visit India as a volunteer five years ago. Today she is a doctor, working in Madrid. These last days have been full of memories of her first visit to India. Some of the kids have already been here five years ago and she is very impressed about how they have changed.
I would like to share something a Little bit sad with you. Two days ago it started to rain and I was putting on a happy face. The Hindus looked at me with serious faces and I couldn´t quite understand how they could not enjoy the great refreshing drops. They explained to me that in these days the farmers were about to harvest wheat for the year and that the rain would destroy it all and that this would lead in some cases to their suicide since they have no way to support their families. Those are things that I find difficult to understand but it´s the cruel reality.
Big kisses from far away Nane and Kids
