Relaxing vacation

Hello everybody,

Finally the kids are having their vacation and so I´m able to relax a little, without having to wake up early in the morning and worry about all the stress from the exams of the little ones.

You can tell by looking at my face in the picture that I´m doing well as I´m playing with Chandra Mukhi in the garden inventing funny games.

Everything is good, well more or less at least. There is always something that needs to be taken care of, but we have learned to keep calm and to look for solutions.

This month was Pinki´s 17´th birthday! She is the oldest of them all, a precious girl with a strong character who knows what she wants. The experience of surviving for ten years in the streets could´t destroy her. On the contrary it made her strong in order to fight for her life. Her bravery is simply admirable.

Since the majority of the kids were born in the streets we sometimes don´t know their birthday, so when we give shelter to a child without a birth date we make it up, and from then on we celebrate their birthdays. One day a child was asking: When is my god mother´s birthday? “November 19^th! With his clever face his answer was: What a coincidence, just like mine!

Sometimes it´s easy to give these beautiful creatures a normal life just by inventing a little thing like a birth date!
