Pallet of supplies from Smiling Children arrived in Khajuraho

After a long time (seven months) we finally received a pallet from the ONG Smiling-Children. The kids where pretty amazed when they opened the palette, 14 schoolbags, crayons and paper, English books, toys and children’s clothing donated by German children.

There was something suitable for everybody and the kids where very happy. Finally they have good schoolbags that don´t break constantly; their classmates have been wondering quite envious how did our children get such nice schoolbags. I´m also able to put away some jeans and sweaters, so next year I will have nice clothes for them.

The kids are very good, despite the heat. Their summer holidays are over and a new school year has begun.

They love going to school and are very keen to learn. Even though they are still quite small, they have a clear idea of their future. Shivam wants to be a pilot, Pinki a lawyer in order to defend the children in the streets, Jyoti a police woman, Ajay a doctor and Manoj wants to be Michael Jackson, but won´t undergo surgery 🙂 🙂 :-).
