The Environment

Hello everyone,

I am already back in India and have found the children are doing very well. They are very happy about me returning, despite the fact that I can be very strict. I am very good with them, but also firm because in my opinion I need to be.

As you know our children study in a private English school and they learn about everything, except about the environment. Everyone who has been to India knows that it is a very dirty country, I do not understand this. It is important to take care of this planet, I spoke with the director of the school and asked to teach the children about the environment and how to protect it, he looked at me all weird, as if I were crazy!  For now I will do my best to educate my children at home, I talk to them about how to separate the garbage (although later comes the garbage truck and they throw it all together again) I talk to them about ecological gardens, how to protect and plant the trees that are very important for humans to live well, and instead of taking the bus go by bike and so on..

One thing was kind of funny, some of the children have started to draw pictures, they take them to school and share their new knowledge with their classmates, so great! One of my children hung a drawing in his class and someone took it down so they hung up a new one. You can see it below it is SO GOOD!
