The children in the wagon
Namaste to all of you,
I hope you are all very well.
The other day I visited some children who live in shacks in Jaipur. I met two boys who instead of being in school or playing with other children were right there with their father who was working in garbage. He picks valuables from the trash and tries to sell them. This is his only focus since he has to feed his family. He doesn´t have the time nor the money to think about his children´s education.
When I was a little girl I use to go out in the fields to work with my father but because it was fun to do it. There was never any necessity to do so. It´s very hard for me to see those two boys and many other depressed children who can´t go to school. Most likely they have the same future like their parents. Picking valuables form the trash.
It is very important that the children go to school it´s the key for a dignified future. Our angels are visiting good privat schools. Public schools are free but still you need to pay for books and uniform which many parents can´t afford. I don´t like public schools here in India. I have noticed that they have days in class that the teachers don´t show up and the kids are all alone. I find it very unprofessional. This is why I prefer that our Children attend privat schools.
If only all children in the world could go school!
