Our house
Namaste everyone,
Temperatures are rising here in Spain, while in India they are starting to drop, relatively speaking, from around 48 degrees down to 39, so it’s something.
The children are doing well. Their summer vacations are over, and the monsoon season should be starting by now, but there’s hardly any rain so far this year.
In the photo, you can see the house we are finishing “OUR” house. The doors, windows, bathrooms, and kitchen are still missing, but we are very happy to finally have our own place. At least this way, no landlord can evict us, which has happened to us before. In the last house where we lived, the owner suddenly showed up one day and told me to leave IMMEDIATELY because he had thought of a business that would bring him more money. I replied, “Okay, we’ll leave as soon as we find another place.” He went crazy, yelling at me very loudly. I told him, “No matter how much you yell, until we find another house, I am not moving!” He realized there was nothing he could do and had to deal with it!
Once our house is finished, I will send you a photo, and many THANKS to everyone who has helped build it.
I want to express my gratitude to Víctor and Juanjo, our architects who have done and continue to do a great job with this project. Their company is called NODOPIA, https://nodopia.com/
In September, we will start building the two orphanages to house 40 babies, and we will also build rooms for volunteers who would like to give us a hand.
Moving forward, little by little
Many wishes,
Christiane 🖐️
