Namaste

Namaste, is the respectful greeting used in India. They bring their hands together at heart level with the following message: my inner light greets your inner light. It’s a very beautiful way to greet someone!

The children in India are now enduring scorching heat, with daytime temperatures reaching up to 47°C. Early in the morning, they get up to play, but they spend the day lying in front of a fan because the heat saps their energy. Then, when the sun goes down, they go back outside to play a bit more. To keep them entertained with the little they can do, a private tutor is visiting for three hours a day to engage them with educational games and encourage them to write about what they do each day. Thats what it’s like for them during summer! Fortunately, the monsoons will start soon, the air will cool down, and they will soon return to school.
