CONGRATULATIONS TO CHILDSRIGHTS!

Namaste beloved Childsrights Friends and godparents,

It seems unbelievable but his month 10 years have passed since Childsrights took it´s first steps. This picture was taken in February of 2008 and with this little group of girls the story of Childsrights began. Over the last 10 years the group has grown to 58 boys and girls.

Many things happened, some very happy and others rather sad. To be honest it wasn´t ever easy to get from where we were to where we are now. There were moments when I thought I couldn´t do it anymore, I felt weak and without courage. Fighting as a white woman for children in a country like India is hard and the cultural differences between the orient and the west are not easy to manage.

Nevertheless, I feel very happy knowing that some homeless children who came from the streets or lived in shacks are now safe. They will now be able to study or learn a profession and hopefully one day, have their own homes  perhaps even close to their friends. They will be free and happy people. Only for this everything makes sense and all the fighting is totally worth it.

I am deeply thankful to all the people that have and are still supporting us with their time, interest and collaboration.

The Childsrights children know that without the help of their godparents, friends and collaborators they wouldn´t be able to be where they are today. They send a big Thank You! You are always in their hearts and of course in mine as well.
