Waiting for the Rain

Namaste my beloved friends,

Today I want to show you a drawing from Poonam of a heart that i’ve kept for the last seven years.

Back then, I wrote some lines on it like: “Poonam´s heart keeps a lot of little things, a big cloud and a pink Elephant. If you open it and close your eyes you will hear rain and smell flowers!”

Like you already know I´m in Valencia these days. I have a lot of work to do, which is great even though it wouldn´t be bad to have a little rest every once in a while. For sure, I will be able to rest in about 20 years or so.

Everything continues going pretty well. The children are good. They have their summer holidays until July 1´st. At the moment it´s very hard for the people in India with temperatures of around 50 degrees and a lot of humidity and no hope for a small breeze. The other day the children told me that they are desperately waiting for the rain because they really need it. In Jaipur we are OK with the water situation but in Khajuraho, location of Nane-Home they are in dire need of water. Without rain it´s very difficult for them. The government is sending water trucks on a daily in order to provide the people with the much-needed water. Jyoti asked me the other day how we are with water in Spain. I thought this question was very curios. I told her that here in Spain we simply open the faucet and water comes pouring out without any problems. Since she was very impressed by such a commodity, I notice how normal it is to have running clean water. Not everybody in the world can count on that. We should be aware how lucky we are to have water and food every day!

During summer, holidays the kids pass the day playing and drawing. Also a privat teacher is visiting in order to give classes. They go to music school, dance class, and have a lot of fun. They are active in the morning hours and late afternoon. The rest of the day, we find them in the shade resting from the terrible activity stopping heat.
