The christamas trees of Franz

Three handmade wooden-Christmas trees visited people’s homes and collected money for Indian children in need.

People of the catholic community Heilig Kreuz in Bergheim-Ischendorf (near Cologne) are supporting the non-profit organization CHILDS RIGHTS through donations and godparent-hood.

In 2015, Franz Weingarten had the idea of creating three wooden Christmas trees on a lathe that after Christmas would be auctioned.

He turned three logs into beautiful wooden Christmas trees.

On the night before the first advent, the trees began a journey through the neighborhood with the goal of having the trees spend time in different homes of the people in the neighborhood.

The trees had a message and the unexpected receiver took the trees with joy and happiness.

On January 10^th , the return of the “three kings” the trees would be auctioned and the profits given to the non-profit organization CHILDS RIGHTS.
