Taj Mahal
Hello everyone,
How is it going in this hot weather?
In India the hottest months are usually May and June. In July the monsoons nromally start, and the children are back to school on July 1st. They like to study a lot and I like that they follow a routine. I think it is very important for not just children to follow a routine but adults as well. The new “tribe” with the 10 children I told you about, are doing great, except for three of the girls Sapna (she is 11 years old), lost her father and soon after also Alviya (7 years old) and her sister Aksha (4 years old) lost their father. It has been a hard blow. Right now we are keeping them quite busy with studies and games to distract them and they are very grateful for our attention.
Our older “kids” are not kids anymore, most of them have become very responsible adults. They are going to college or are working and with what they earn they have become independent, that’s what it’s all about!
Normally the kids don’t ask me for much, but some of them had asked me to take them to visit the TAJ MAHAL and I granted them this wish and took them on their vacation.
I was delighted to see their faces with this look of amazement, this monument really makes an impact, we went for a walk in a very nice garden enjoying an ice cream, we stayed one night and then went back home. We had a great time!
I wish you a happy summer, more in September!
Namaste
Christiane
