I don´t get used to it
Namaste,
aap kaise hai? That means, how are you, in Hindi.
Our children are well! They are still home schooling and miss so very much being able to play with other kids. Even though they don´t have a lot of freedom, at least they are healthy which is the most important thing!
Today, I would like to share some thoughts with you. I have been visiting India for many years now, but I will never get used to seeing children living in the streets and trying to survive. These images are very difficult to digest. I just can´t stop thinking what else we could do for these innocent creatures. I do what I can with all of your support we are now helping 59 children and our new baby-shelter project is in development. There is not a lot of time left in my day-to-day life in order to organize many more projects, but it gives me great comfort to know that we are achieving something, and I am very happy that our children have left the hard circumstances of their past.
We don´t know yet when we will be able to start with our new baby-shelter project, but progress is being made. We have already purchased the land and have some money left in order to start building the baby house. For now, I have to return to Europe in order to do more fundraising, because for my next trip to India my plan is to start with the construction project. At this moment it is not an easy task to make plans, I really hope this extraordinary situation will end soon and we can go back to a more normal life!
Greetings and Namaste
Christiane
