Back to School
Hello beloved Childsrights Followers,
Our Little Mahek, Tahoma and Preety and the rest of the children send Greetings from Khajuraho!
After two and a half months on vacation, our little angels went back to school. The children enjoyed their time off a lot, joining art, music and dance classes. They really had a great summer and even so, they are ready and happy to be able to go back to school. All of the children have finished well their last year in school, meaning that they all passed the course and will continue a class further which makes us all very happy.
The other night we had a solidarity dinner in Arancha´s house. It was very nice to meet so many conscious people interested in the good of the children. I´m so thankful for the help that comes from the bottom of their hearts, and we were able to collect 285 Euros. This money will help to buy the new books for the school year. Every year the books are becoming more expensive. A special Thanks goes to our host Arancha, for always being collaborative and generous.
This year our little Ashta will start with kindergarden. She is very excited to be able to go and is very motivated to learn. Especially she is interested in learning how to read and write, but she is still very small even though in India the children start very early. I have read something in a magazine that says” In Europe the mothers use to say to their children:” Finish your plate, because in India the children have nothing to eat! Now the mothers say: study a lot, because the children in India learn very quickly!”
The rainy season has started which helps the temperatures to finally cool down. Thank God, because putting up with almost 50 degree Celcius without any breath is just too much, you are simply close to go insane. Last year I witnessed a man who went completely insane because of the heat.
That been said I wish you a great summer with lots of relaxation and time for your family.
Until September
Namaste Nane
