Our friend Claudia
Hello everyone,
This time I’m writing to tell you that we have a visitor from Spain, from Valencia. We have just welcomed our dear German friend Claudia, who moved to Valencia many years ago—that’s where we met.
Claudia had never been to India before. Right now, we are visiting the south, specifically Kerala. It is truly a beautiful place, and the people are extremely kind and calm. Claudia said to me, “Ahhhh, I think India is fantastic! How strange that you always told me India is such an intense country and that you need a lot of energy every day to deal with it—I feel completely relaxed!”
Of course my friend feels relaxed—the South really invites you to unwind. Let’s see if she says the same when we travel up north where the orphanage is! Things are completely different there.
The children are eager to meet her. They love having visitors and taking the opportunity to learn more about other cultures. They are very curious, which I really like because it’s another wonderful way to learn. Claudia has prepared some games and thought of things she can do with the children when she’s with them. On top of that, we are very lucky because Claudia loves cooking—and from my own experience I can assure you that she is a great cook! When I’m in Valencia, I often eat at her place, and it’s a blessing for me because I don’t enjoy cooking. I’m sure the meeting with the children will be wonderful.
I hope you are all doing well. Namaste,
Christiane
